THE SKINNY
MINOR PRO
-Ben Smith had a fantastic week for Rockford. He recorded 12 shots on goal, scored 2 goals, and added 2 assists despite the IceHogs posting a 1-2 record last week.
-David Gilbert ended his 8-game point streak (14 pts) last week as his team recorded a 3-2 win over Quad City. Gilbert has put together a solid season so far with the Bloomington Blaze, tied for 3rd on the team in points.
COLLEGE
-Sam Jardine suffered a serious laceration on November 10th, he will miss 6-10 weeks of action. He met with the media on Wednesday to talk about what happened and how he is moving forward. Thankfully, no tendons or arteries were cut, and it is not expected that he has any major nerve damage.
-Stephen Johns came out of the week with 3 assists in 2 games and a plus-1 rating, his best week offensively this season. Interestingly enough, Johns is 2nd in points compared to all Chicago Blackhawks college prospects and is 1st in plus-minus.
-Paul Phillips has a hot helper hand with 4 assists in 2 games last week. He will look to continue his success this week against Yale and New Hampshire.
-Dan Delisle recorded his first assist of the season in a 4-3 OT loss against the University of North Dakota.
JUNIOR HOCKEY
-Phillip Danault extended his point streak last week, which has climbed to 6 games. Danault has had a fantastic season as captain of the Tigres. In 22 games, he has record 33 points and has helped the Tigres to a 10-8-2-2 record, good enough for 4th in their division. In two games during the Subway Super Series, Danault did not record any points.
-Chris Calnan had 3 goals and 2 assists in 3 games last week, however, he did not record a single point in his teams 8-2 loss against the Jersey Hitmen. He leads all Chicago Blackhawks junior prospects in goals.
-Alex Broadhurst, the Chicago project, posted 1 goal and 2 assists in 3 games last week, helping the London Knights win 2 out of 3 games.
-Vincent Hinostroza, another Chicago project, continued to rip up the USHL as he posted 3 goals and 1 assist in 2 games last week.
EUROPE
-Teuvo Teravainen returned from injury last week. In his return, he was a minus-2, had 10:11 TOI, and did not register any points. This week Jokerit will play four games, so it will be a big test for the Blackhawks 1st choice overall in 2012.
-Maxim Shalunov lead Team Russia through the Subway Super Series with 2 goals and 2 assists. The tournament ended last week.

Teravainen had a dog of a game upon returning to action. Probably should have had an assist on SaiPa's GWG for the brain freeze turnover he committed and he wound up having to be benched. Hopefully the full Jokerit schedule this week that you mentioned will help him shake the rust off.
He didn't start off the season so hot either. It's been really disappointing to see his development take a step back like this.
Well I don't think 14 games is a fair sample size to say his development has taken a hit or rather I wouldn't even say that his development has taken a step back period as Jokerit's reg. season is not over until March and the WJC haven't occurred yet. He did not look impressive in the first half dozen or so games of the season but then they took him off the line with Pulkkinen and eventually switched him back to the wing and those factors appeared to jumpstart his mojo and he started to increase his Pts. total. Recall, that he was on a 5 gm. pts. streak at the time he broke the finger. Pre-injury he was a totally different player the first 7 games versus the last 6 and then of course he played like shit in gm. 14 after 5 weeks out of action.
Selanne's not playing there. The NHL lockouters that Jokerit's signed are V. Filppula, Karlsson, and J. Jokinen.
